This thread has been started to discuss issues and features of the Archive Search pages. I have six databases comprising special collections and magazine articles. I have plans to add a few more special collections as well as guitar journal article listings.

Details on each update are available on the Archive page, but some issues for useability may come up and this is the place to discuss them.

The thumbnail size was chosen because it was large enough to get an idea of the digital file's contents. An idea I have that may be better or worse is a "thumbnail viewer" in Flash or DHTML which would take up only one row of space and allow you to page through the thumbnails.

Full text searching is also being worked on. The idea is that typing in something like "sor" should give you not only the composer, but also variations on his name like "sors" and any kind of attributions or dedications which might appear in titles or notes. This would also allow publisher and editor searches.

I will not be posting my RIBS programs anymore.

Please feel free to post your opinions on this.
