Luigi Ricca collection

Published by Robert Coldwell on

The Luigi Ricca collection has been added to the Archive Search. While the Ricca collection itself has quite a bit of music, only the guitar related works have been added to the archive.

Use this link as a shortcut to view all the new items from the Ricca collection. To obtain a DVD with all the music please contact Atelier Chitarristico Laudense.

I’m interested in much from Luigi Ricci collection, in particular the Antonio Nava pieces. Can you suggest a way for me to acquire or purchase facsimilies? I’ve been searching for a facsimilie of The Four Seasons for ages!

Many thanks,
Terry

Unfortunately the collection was digitized but only released in a limited fashion on DVD. I have tried to track down a source that can be purchased but without any luck. The digital samples I was given on just a limited basis since I don’t have the rights to distribute the full digital scans. My suggestion would be to try contacting the library directly or Marco Bazzotti.

I am the historian for Kenilworth NJ. From 1900-1902 the Ricca Mfg. Co. had a plant in New Orange, NJ (then a part of Union, NJ., which later became later Kenilworth, NJ). Nicknamed “The Banjo Works” it manufactured mandolins and guitars. Might this be the sam ecompany of Luigi Ricca???

Thank you.

Kenilworth NJ Historian
