The Sherry-Brener Collection at Chicago Guitar Auction

Chicago Guitar Auction is presenting an online auction of Spanish classical guitars from the historic Sherry-Brener Collection, featuring José Ramírez III instruments, including 1a, 2a, and flamenco models.

Sherry-Brener served as Ramírez’s exclusive U.S. distributor during the 1960s and 1970s, connecting the Madrid workshop with generations of guitarists in America. This collection offers players, collectors, and enthusiasts an opportunity to explore that legacy.

In-person viewings in Chicago will take place from October 29 through November 7, 2026, with appointments available through the website. Online bidding runs November 8–22, 2026.

The website also features a growing digital archive of historic guitar magazines from the Sherry-Brener Collection, preserved page by page and organized by year—a resource that may be of particular interest to Digital Guitar Archive readers.
