Dr. James Westbrook has just published Guitar Making in Nineteenth-Century London: Louis Panormo and his Contemporaries.

This large, comprehensive volume includes chapters on the Panormo family and their instrument making, the Roudhloff brothers, a directory of London makers and dealers, guitars used by Madame Pratten, and extensive references on the practical aspects of historical instruments such as woodworking, polishes, cases, etc. It is 514 pages with 370 color images. It is a very large book at A4 size and weighs 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg).
