Justin Holland timeline and land records
During my research on Justin Holland to locate information about his exact location through all years of his and his family’s lives I created an extensive timeline. Cleveland land records are included in the timeline.
My goal in creating a timeline was to understand the activities of the Holland family which could lead to documents indicating what might have happened to their music collection.
For the land records I made some attempts to locate the exact lots based on contemporary maps. With further research they could give some indication of Holland’s societal stature in Cleveland. I have not done any land records research in New Orleans.
Note: any mentions of Justin Holland having a middle name of “Perry” are incorrect. The way the city directories list his name and his address are confusing. He lived on Perry Street.
Note: Holland’s wife appears to have used “Josephine” earlier in her life and the form “Delphine” does not show up until 1860.

Land records
1881 City Atlas of Cleveland with the “Ten acre lot 56 between Cedar, Garden, and Perry Streets” marked in red. Most of the deeds seem to reference this area. Earlier maps with the level of plat detail from the 1881 Atlas have not been located. I have not looked at any plat maps in the Cuyahoga County offices. Records were located through the Cuyahoga County online records search.
